Extremely dark, even for a brown ale. As someone said it's almost stout like. Dark rich flavors. Really bold beer that isn't for the faint of heart. Another great beer by dogfish head

Dark, strong vanilla taste, whiskey ending -Dogfish Alehouse, 9-01-13

So much going on with this beer. The high alcohol is well blended in the flavor. A nice high end brown. This is one hell of a beer

Dang it was pretty intense in flavor lots of smoked wood.. This will put hair on your chest lol.. Overall great brown Ale but really stout like , crazy shit...

Near black. Slight reddish hue. Nose is subtle brown sugar and spice. Rich creamy mouthfeel. Some spice from the wood. Really good

Chocolate & coffee...be sure to let it warm up some before drinking
