Served cold, 12oz bottle, into snifter glass. Small head, tan in color. Heavy alcohol aroma with hints of chocolate and vanilla. Sharp bitter malty chocolate bite with heavy dry flavor. Vanilla and cocoa aftertaste. Makes you feel warm after drinking as if taking a shot. Heavy dark chocolate aftertaste.

Complex. Smokey. Woody. Sweet carmel. Dark, yet light. Can't put a finger on it. Sips like a stout. High alcohol content. Very enjoyable.

Very strong...complex...deep brown in color...good beer to sip and enjoy in a cold night if your only having one beverage!
Love dogfish brewers

A super strong, boozy brown malt with some intense smoke. If any if that appeals.... to you try it

A little to sweet for my taste but was a great brew dark coffee color like a stout nut brown head palo wood is what made it so sweet I believe first time with this beer not my last great for relaxing next to the fireplace and did I mention 12%abv kicked my ass

More like a stout!!!! 12% aged beer in palo santo wood. Great drinkability with low alcohol taste. You can really taste the malt/chocolate/Carmel great beer

Woody aroma with smooth Carmel and vanilla up front. Wood and alcohol taste on the back.

Oh...wow. This is a beer to try. It's luxuriously smooth, even at 12%, and the decadent toffee, woody, caramelly, vanilla flavors are unique to this uber-Brown. Treat yourself, and savor!
