Draft, Anderson Valley pint
Pours a dark amber with a moderate light tan head. Aroma is yeasty with some earthy notes and the slightest hint of sweetness. Mouthfeel is moderate and smooth with medium carbonation and a mildly bitter, mostly dry finish. Flavor is sharp yeastiness and barn-y. It's not bad. A little less spice than I was expecting for a winter-specific beer. More straight Belgian-y than wintry it Christmas-y.

I know I rate this higher than most, but this is one of my favorite winter seasonals. Strong vanilla flavor. Sweet but not cloying. Not as strong in alcohol as other winters, too, which I also like.

Sweet, slightly toasty smell, malty, vanilla & marshmallow flavors. Not nearly as spicy as a lot of winter beers, which is a nice change.

A very well balanced winter ale, vanilla, caramel, spices. The perfect beer for thanksgiving/christmas etc!

Might be just me, but I pick up on a bit of a fig newtonesque flavor. Very delicious. Even at a warmer temp it's still good
