Dark Belgian ale with frothy head and lots of sediment. Sweet aroma with notes of fig, raisins, and toffee. High abv of 11.3% which is notable in the alcoholish finish. Has a thickness to it with an almost nectar-like mouthfeel. Very rich set of flavors. The sweetness of the fruit are balanced with the caramel maltiness. If you are a fan of Belgian ales then Trappistes Rochefort should be a staple. Although I am not keen on belgiums I can still appreciate it's complexity.

Has a bit more bite than it's younger brother 8, but still is amazing. Warm, thick with flavor. 9.23.2014

WOW was the first words out of my mouth after the initial sip. Smells of apples and a velvety smooth raisin finish followed by a slight alcohol finish. I was not sure if I was supposed to shake the settling off the bottom. Defiantly a beer enjoyed on a COLD winters night!

Respectable Quad.. I personally was more of a fan of Trappistes Rochefort 6 and 8, however this was decent, nice fruit flavor, however a little excessive on the alcohol burn for an aftertaste, more than I prefer when drinking a quad.. 3.5 stars....

Smooth for the high alcohol content 11.3%. Not my favorite but worth a try.

A lot of head when poured, drank room temp, paid $6.99, very smooth and drinkable, a moderate alcohol taste.
