Dark ruby red with thin head and visible alcohol legs. Caramel/toffee malt flavors with a trace of espresso in the finish. Also a hint of booze. Really tasty, great winter warmer.

Very flavorful. Robust. Tones of the whiskey barrel.

Sweet and malty. A little higher alcohol to warm you up. Definitely a sipper for me. Excellent beer!

A little too sweet for me... I will try again, but perhaps not soon.

Just cellared one for a year and a half and drinking it now. Dark amber. Very hazy with lots of sediment. No head. Legs are opaque with microscopic bubbles. Heavy vanilla and whiskey notes going in. Sweet caramel and boozy up front. Coats the tongue. Finishes sharply with a lingering bitterness.

This is barleywine. Some cinnamon biscuit?
