svenllr - October 6, 2014I don't like smoked beer. I tried this because it was a porter and my dad purchased it for me. Two sips was all I needed to remind me that I don't like smoked beers. Yes, this was a tad better than the other one I had before; hence, the second sip, but not good enough to finish it. Oddly enough, my father who isn't a big craft beer drinker liked this.

web - January 26, 2014More smoked than any other porter I've had, second best smoked overall that I've had. The only smokier beer I've had, which is not a porter but that I favor over this, is Aecht Schlenkerla Eiche Doppelbock, a rauchbier that smokes over oak instead of the typical rauchbier beech. Well done, Alaskan.
