A little too smokey for me. Depth of flavor though. Had it at bangers and lace.

Nice complex profile: coffee, wood, cigars.

Cup of coffee anyone?

Nice light licorice aftertaste :D

So insanely complex it's not worth listing the dozens of taste and aroma notes on this beer, and the one I had wasn't even aged.

Age it!

This beer was delicious. Supremely flavorful, the cherry bark and licorice stand out, not too sweet with great balance, silky. Drank 2013 bottle in December 2014, over a year old.

Beer royalty! Chocolate, coffee, raisins and molasses. Great feel and smooth finish. Enjoying a 2 year aged bottle right now. My favorite beer and not even close.

Sweet aroma. Raisins or Madeira smell. Coffee/espresso flavor. Sweet taste. Really good. Wow. Gets better with each sip. Mild aftertaste. Will definitely try to find again. A good sipping beer.

A. Very complex, ages very well. The 2014 has a smoky barrel aroma. The 2009 has a hint of licorice and some oak with molasses. Very complex and balanced.
