Dark fruits abound with little to no hint of the 10.2% ABV content of the beer. Strong flavor on the front with one of the smoothest finishes of any beer. Definitely the ultimate Belgian Trappist beer. The hype is all true and if you can get this extremely elusive beer, then don't hesitate to pick it up.

I was fortunate to have one in Toronto and am now enjoying one in Brussels. The best way I can describe is a rum raisin taste with a little bit of bitterness. A must have for beer fans!

Outstanding Brew. I'm so happy I was able to get my hands on a few bottles.

This was a lucky find when I was in Toronto. I enjoyed one while at a pub in Toronto and purchased one to take home. This Quad was amazing. Filled with a nice deep dark color the nose fills you up with raisins and plums. Rare to find, it's worth the money to say you had perhaps the number 1 beer in the world.

Great balance! Heavy alcohol taste with great malty balance. Nutty/grainy after taste with very slight sweetness.

Raisins, plum, and lingering warmth. I get the hype now. Delicious with a bowl full of cheese.

I enjoy all Belgian Ales and this is the best of the bunch. Quite smooth. No aftertaste for such a high alcohol content. This is a sipping beer. Not a guzzling beer. Best if sits for just a few minutes in glass. Nearly perfect and worth the hunt!!!

Huge aroma of dried cherries & figs upon first pour. Has the requisite Belgian yeast foamy head with lots of carbonation in the form of microscopic bubbles. A bit too carbonated & foamy for me, but a few quick swirls of the glass fixes that. Definitely a big beer, it is amazing this beer is made with only 4 ingredients. Lots of dried fruits, molasses, a bit boozy. Great brew.

Very good but only marginally better than St Bernardus 12 which is much more accessible and less expensive
