firegirl530 - May 6, 2013Having recently taken a tour of Stone brewery, I can now say for sure- I do not understand their hops obsession and inability (or choice not to) balance ingredients and flavors. If this IPA is good, it is because the hops are good, the brewery having added an extra large dose at the end if the process, overwhelming every other component.

jat117 - April 20, 2013Always great to drink a stone. Good hops and bitterness. Great aroma and smell.

specksofdust - April 15, 2013Mild hop lemon aroma. More bitter taste than the nose leads you to believe. Just the right amount of bitterness for a go-to IPA. The flavor transitions several times - hop bite to start, citrus lemon grapefruit in the middle, sweeter pineapple melon tastes before the finish, then a pine evergreen finish. Aftertaste is a both bitter and sweet.

Bennywisest - March 28, 2013Tasted: draft at Stokesay Castle , Reading , Pa. Orange, yellow color. Solid 2 finger head that lasts. Aroma of grassy hops and some citrus fruit. A very pleasant hoppy aroma. Taste is awesome. Starts with the citrus flavor ( apricot, pineapple) and moves to the light caramel of the body. Finishes with a grassy/ piney hop with a touch of lasting citrus. This beer is mega hopped but balanced nicely. Medium body and carbonation. The various hops work well together. A hoppy muddle masterpiece. Great beer.
