This may well be the best beer I've ever had. Self righteous. Arrogant. Stone brews have a damn good reason to be braggarts.

Really smooth for a dark beer, only have had it once but I would absolutely love to drink it again and recommend it highly

This is one of the more intense blak IPA's with a thick lace.

The best black IPA I have tried! Roasted coffee flavors with big hop flavor that smacks you across the face and demands another sip! Excellent beer, I highly recommend it... That is... If your worthy enough!

Black IPA. Nuff said. Mild dinner beer.

Wow, way over-hyped black IPA. Pleasant but no teeth. Kind of creamy, kind of hoppy, but just ends up a bit bland. Nowhere near as compelling as the far superior 15th Anniversary Black IPA. This beer just melts into an indistinct mixture without any real character.

No one's mentioned a kind of pine-y character to the hop aroma that I can't place... Something slightly woodland that makes the flavor unique. Other than that, agreed that it is a high-quality brew, nice coffee notes and good balance overall, not too bitter, fits nicely in the Stone catalog. Will be a repeat customer here.
