Wouldn't think it was a porter by taste. Initial taste is of a Pale Ale then you get a smoky taste afterwards.

Very very dark full body beer with a hint of smokey chocolate coffee taste.

Solid. Steady. Simple. Nothing to differentiate it from other solid porters. Didn't gain much of the smoke flavor. Nose was simple and caramely. Taste was solid porter. Cold, a simple chocolate aroma, complete. Good, but nothing stand out. A porter

I like it. Smoke is nice bit finished a little too bitter.

Well-balanced. The smoke is just the right amount to know its there and appreciate it without being overwhelming. Coffee flavor for just a quick second before it finishes bitter and malty. Aftertaste is bitter and charred. Again, you can dispute the flavors, but there is no denying that those flavors ate in near-perfect harmony.
