Gets more subtle with age. Expected horse blanket but got smooth goodness. Could never have enough. 2012

A "young" Trappist. Tart and funky...kind of like a farmhouse more then a Belgian Trappist. White Wine-like taste.

Very different Belgian - not a tripel. Pours amber, lots of foamy head (pour gently). Smells and tastes like it aged in white wine barrels. Very dry finish, not a lot of esters. Would drink again. 4/5/17 Bottle 4 stars Note: bottling date on bottle: 7/13/16, drink in 5 years.

SRM13. Dense and mousse-like foam with very long retention. Completely opaque but with medium rising bubbles. Floral but a little spunky smelling. Mouth coating body with harsh alcohol. Sharp carbonation. Flavor is very difficult to pin, floral but almost slightly sulfuric. Possible I sampled an older bottle.

Effervescent. Champagne - like and very balanced.

Lots of bubbles, strange taste-floral and earthy, not in a great way. Fairly bitter, fairly thin

Wow. What a head on this thing. I'm pretty new to Belgian ales but this is what I've been looking for in a Belgian. Great body but really easy drinking. Could easily drink a few of these an not notice the alcohol until much later. Very happy with this one.
