Heavier, darker version of Duvel. Decent beer to break away from the norm but would rather stick with the tried and trues

Dark fruits, banana, caramel and light fruit finish. Very heavily carbed for a quad

Huh? Really? Pours a dark murky copper with a huge, frothy tan head. Contains a large amount of sediment. Smells a little funky. A lot going on for taste. Raisin, toast, malt, honey, caramel, and apple. Alcohol really comes through as it warms. It's a good beer, maybe even a really good beer, but how is this rated a top 100 beer in the world? Someone please tell me what I am missing?

Remarkable not sure why it is but it is great , smooth , crisp and highly enjoyable!!! And you don't even taste the high ABV in it wow well done Monks!!! Great Quad!!!
