Pours black....I mean really Black....strong roasty nose with some chocolate notes. Dark Chocolate is prominent at first taste with a thick malty mouthfeel. Dark Chocolate-y finish. The high ABV Warms the bones too

I like boozy beers, and this was boozy - maybe too boozy. It has an herbal note that is very wintry, but I wish it had more roastiness to balance things out. Drink it very cold because the notes intensify - especially the booze - as it warms and it gets hard to stomach. There is also a flat cola note that emerges at some point. Not bad once, but not for me. Tempting to try the bourbon barrel aged version, but the last think it needs is to taste even more like unbalanced alcohol.

Thick rich full of flavor. Very thick head.

Black like a black hole in color and zero head. Boozy chocolate notes. Very good Russian stout. Extremely chocolatey and coffee like and strong. A viscous syrupy molten chocolate rolls in your tongue. Not for the faint of heart. Tastes like an imperial with a complex mix of flavors on your tongue
