Had it from bottle did not realize how dark it was... Was pleased with taste for such a dark beer
Beer Bear - June 12, 2013
Nice malty roast with a soft coffee and nut flavor. Incredible balance with a nice finish.
CanyonRover - June 11, 2013
Highly drinkable with a perfect hop balance and a clean dark finish.
kkazlowski - May 26, 2013
Not heavy or robust, nor bitter. A fairly light body given the darkness. Not very hoppy, fairly smooth. Very easy to drink.
moreilly19 - May 8, 2013
Nutty with a little touch of chocolate. Not heavy, almost a little watery

Though classed as a Belgian Dark Ale, the ABV and taste profile more closely resembles a dubble. Compared to Chimay Premiere(Red), 1554 is easier to find, a bit less expensive and a viable alternative for more frequent consumption.

DNBA-stout but watery and no finish

DNBA (do not buy again)Watery and not full, like drinking a rich fizzy water with no body and no finish.
