Tan coloured head and dark amber body. Lots of hops and minerals in the nose, but not overpowering. Plenty of roasted malts, but a rather thin body. Good finish, not a lot of bitterness. Slight astringency. Also a slight tickle in the back of the throat, but I'm unsure if that's spice or carbonation. A pretty good beer.

I really like this seasonal offering from The Boston Beer Company. It has a well balanced blend of seasonal spices. It has a pleasant nose like Christmas cookies. Malty with a nice hoppiness that is most notable in the finish.

Low carbonation. Coffee notes. Slightly floral. Dark color.
