Beerguy33 - December 15, 201512/16/15 - Beer tasting HB. 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. Pours an opaque black, with a light creamy head. Aroma is licorice, maple, dark fruit. Taste is earthy, charred, creamy but not very sweet. Mouthfeel is medium, carbonation is medium. Not my favorite from Sam Adams.

bill@homebrewingnews.com - November 29, 2015Nose is decidedly dark chocolate & coffee, but the dark grain astringency mixes with the hops for a bit of a bitter flavor. Finish remains bitter to the end. Too light bodied for a cream stout and too bitter for a sweet stout.
