Russian River has some pretty amazing stuff and Salvation stands to be an outstanding Belgian Dark Ale. It pours wonderfully and the head is appetizing. The aroma isn't so much. Each sip makes your taste buds tingle from the beer but I must say, the taste is a bit lacking. Sure, flavor exists but it's not full bodied. The Elder is a better hit than this ale but hey, Belgians seem to be hit and miss.
