Better than average pumpkin beer, but a sipper. Pumpkin pie in a bottle, strong sweet flavor and cinnamon spice. Good overall if looking for a pumpkin beer. Bottle, October 2013.

Really sweet.

Smooth and the pumpkin is not overdone. Big beer.

Intense, spicy flavor. For sipping only. No sweetness.

One of the better pumpkin beers. I read some of the tasting reviews and they are all over the map. Although not strong I got a definite pumpkin aroma and flavor. I did not taste the spices mentioned by several people. The bottle lists two row pale malt, caramel malt, puréed pumpkin, magnum and sterling hops. No mention of spices. If they were added it was with a very light hand. I have brewed pumpkin ale a few times and know that if you add spices they quickly become the dominant flavor, especially cinnamon or ginger. It is tough to get the pumpkin flavor to come thru in the finished beer but this brewery has done a reasonable job.

So damn good. Good pumpkin beers are so hard to find....this one is awesome!

Great pumpkin and fruit nose, back end hops bitter and unwelcoming. May have used bourbon in part of the vanilla extract. If I wanted to duplicate I would use minimal hops and a vanilla bean scraping.

Way too much caramel...

Great aroma, but bitter metallic aftertaste

The best and truest pumpkin beer. Wonderful amount of spice & malt on the nose and in taste. Another win for Southern Tier!
