Served among Belgian beers, I thought this was one as well. I was wrong - good mouthfeel, sweet and a taste of whiskey barrel

Very nice smooth flavor with a slightly boozy finish. Great dark color!

Fantastic beer the mouth feel is thick the aroma is coffee, chocolate, hint of licorice, the taste is all the same and intensifies as it warms. Delicious

A stand up IS that compared favorably to Bell's Kalamazoo Stout and FBS. It has a bit of everything- baker's chocolate, coffee, brown sugar, sweet and sharp licorice, and smoky vanilla rye whiskey from the barrel aging.

Well I can't taste the licorice but lots if toffee and you'll feel as good as getting laid by a mermaid.

Amazing beer! Highly recommend. Some licorice, molasses, coffee, and chocolate flavors, but not too sweet.

Thick full flavor. Better as it warms up. More Carmel flavor as it sits.

3oz taste, black licorice, if you don't like the candy, stay away

I love black beers and black licorice but this was by far the most expensive beer I've ever dumped down the drain. Not good beer at all.

The thickest beer I have ever had. Black ale with a lot of depth.
