B+. Spices are evident, a bit thin, fairly carbonated and dark malt.

Had at weslowskis. Decent taste, high alcohol content. Ok but can?t hold up to the classic belgiums

Impressive pour; deep brown with cola bubbly-ness. Huge head with great retention and lacing. Light aroma with a little cocoa, cherry, and malt. Unique flavor profile. Little cocoa/coffee up front, then bitter, then Carmel-yeast, herbal finish. Pick up some cherry cola notes at the end and maybe licorice and burned toast. Not sure it?s the most approachable beer. Some strong booziness. Probably would go nicely with a steak or mole Mexican dish.

Tastes like alcoholic root beer. Not enough malt in the mix.

First sip impressive, but with drinking further, starts to taste like crap.

Dark, but not a stout. Not heavy. Very similar to Chimay Reserve. Not quite as sweet as Chimay. Has some subtitle fruit notes. Smooth finish.

Medium malt sweetness and body. Slight fruit with hint of tartness on the finish. Lightly spiced. Easy, pleasant drinking for a strong ale.

Lotta rotten fruit on this.
