It's smelled like wine and hints of grapes. Sweet stout and bourbon was very significant. I thought it was okay. I personally didn't think it lived up to the hype.

Jet black in color with a thin ring of khaki head. Very low carbonation. Had on draft at cork city aged 1yr (2014). Aromas of chocolate, burnt caramel, and subtle bourbon notes. Heavy in body this beer glides over your tongue with an intricate mix of flavors. Chocolate at the forward followed by a big vanilla oak bourbon flavor ending with a dark chocolate & cold pressed coffee flourish. This beer is awesome!

7/14: Huge and boozy. Thick and sweet. Really good, but top 5? Not really unique enough in my book.

I like it, but one is enough. Complex flavors featuring coffee, pepper and honey notes. If you like to tantalize your taste buds this is for you!

Pours black with moderate tan head. Aroma is thick with hints of bourbon. Flavor starts off thick, malty, and chewy. It's rather dry, and leaves a sticky, yeasty, masses flavor on the tongue. It's not overly boozy, and the finish is wholesome bourbon without the warm burn. It's pretty good. A little smoother than the regular Breakfast Stout, but not crazy rave-worthy. Good and solid, but probably a little cost-prohibitive for sustained consumption.
