Not an expert on barlywine. As a strong IPA, very nice complexity and a clean finish.

Bitter and very hoppy

Barley wine style. I was hoping for more of a barley wine. But only at 9.2 ABV I guess it can't be a total barley wine. Nice beer.

Rather not drink it

Extremely hoppy, almost hard to tell its a barleywine

Dark caramel color. Thick head that stays. Super Sweet and fruity yet also hoppy nose. Great sweet, salty, bitter, and resinous taste all at once. Great barley wine style with the hops of an DIPA.

Pours a nice amber color, foamy head sticks around for a while. Smells of sweet caramel and resinous hops. Great hop flavor up front, tremendous sweet malt structure, a bit of a bitter finish. This beer is like a DIPA meets a barleywine. Or like a really malty, sweet DIPA. Either way, a great beer.

Definitely an American Barleywine with hops smacking you in the aroma, but with big Barleywine flavors (caramel, toffee, vanilla, booze) in the taste. Phenomenal beer. Let it age, but not too much, as you'll lose the citrusy hop aroma (unless you prefer a maltier English-style Barleywine).
