Silky smooth, light toasting, low carbonation, bittersweet dark chocolate finish. Very nice

Pours opaque dark chocolate brown with thick tan head. Sweet chocolaty aroma. Thick feel bitter sweet chocolate flavor that slowly fades.

Light, bitter chocolate taste.

Another great beer from Sam Smith?s brewery. Traditional oatmeal stout. Just what I would expect from such a venerable institution.

Chocolatey and strong. A bit sweet. A bit too strong.

Rather smooth malty sweet stout. Barley and Oats, no wheat which the spousal unit is avoiding at the moment. She liked it better than I did.

Tons of flavor. Would definitely buy again

Not sure if it was a bad bottle I got but this was mostly too boozy on the taste and the nose. Roasted malts and creaminess on the pour and nose at first then it was all boozy. Was like a 10% or higher though being only 5% Was like a wine or some sort of liquor. No idea why but I did finish it all anyway!

Do not over chill
Pair with bread pudding coffee desserts or savory caramelized meats.
