Nice chocolate flavor rounds out a classic English porter. Had as part of a porter flight at PP 8/3/12.

Found a new favorite porter. Like an adult milkshake.

Dark cola color with a thick cream head. Aroma is big on coffee and brown sugar. Taste is smooth and rich as hell. More black coffee with definite smokiness, with mild vanilla and tobacco. Exceptional porter, makes the "top 10 manliest beers" easily.

Chocolatey sweetness kind of light

Thick porter more like a stout. Really good tasting.

Rich and dark like it says. Strong but not overpowering dark chocolate taste. Very good.

Best porter in the world. So smooth and drinkable.

Pours a nice mahogany brown with a thick, lathery head. Rich, mouthwatering chocolate and toffee aroma. However, I was disappointed to find an initial sweetness that gave way to an overly fruity, tannic flavor. Several drinks later an it develops a mocha aftertaste but by that time its too late. There are much better porters out there than this one.

Has a chocolate aroma. The appearance is dark chocolate and so is the flavor. Overall impression is that it’s ok but not a good porter.
