Okay ale but not very bold. Wouldn't buy but got this one at corned beef and cabbage night at st pascal. I liked the Pale31 better as IPA.

Not much flavor- slight cough syrup taste

A moderate off-white head. Smells of caramel. Taste is malty and very smooth. A slightly bitter finish. A well balanced beer. I couldn't pick out any oak flavor. Hops were also subdued.

Amber color, good head. Cotton candy / fresh laundry smell. Stink in the first taste, followed by a malty finish. Could've just been poor temp control or the ambient air.

Smooth and complex. Nice balance of sweet malts, bitter hops, oak and a touch of vanilla.. Not strong but certainly not a wimpy beer. Very nice change of pace with a lower than norm ABV
