Chimay red- 7% abv Belgium
Cloudy orange-brown pour with sediment. Small amount of head with loose bubbles but long lasting. High carbonation with medium mouthfeel and dry body. Fruity and caramel malt aroma. Spicy yeast, creamy malt, with dark fruit and a hint of molasses. Complex with a lasting earthy finish. This is a classic dubbel. Would pair well with rustic food, hearty cheese, or rich desserts. Although the Rouge serves as an archetype for the style, it doesn't live up to the hype.

It's probably good but I wouldn't want to drink it again. Eggy froth grossed me out and the taste is NOT for me.

Smells and tastes pretty malty. It is pretty smooth and unfiltered. Wouldnt buy it again due to the price tag but it is a good beer.

Nice smooth taste with fermented fruity tones. Expected a little more.

B on my scale, malty with a sweetness that finished fairly dry

Candied figs...to much carbonation for me. That being said, it's a good

Has the bitterness of a pale ale and the warm chocolate notes of a Trappist. Good for when you want a bit of both.
