One of the all time greats. Oak, vanilla, tons of bourbon and a velvet mouthfeel. The ABV is present when fresh, but not unpleasant. Over a year or two it tends to really come into its own and smooth out. Have not had anything older than two years to know beyond it. The nose adds to the experience here and is just a phenomenal sipping beer. Amazing.

12/14: The very best of this style in a bottle: all the booze, weight and sweetness but elegantly balanced. Pours like a cask with near zero head and no visual carbonation, but that's exactly what gives it the drinkability that its heavy handed peers lack.

Slightly smokey nose, rich raisin and bourbon flavors. Excellent sipping brew.
