Dark auburn red in color with a slight off white head and a coffee chocolatey aroma. Very smooth silky dark chocolate and black coffee taste. Decent imperial porter. The best of the brewpub series I had at cork city -- ranked Baltic thunder, altbier, braumeister Czech pils, k-bomb

Pours a dark brown with a thin white head That quickly dissipated. Smells very fruity reminiscent of plums. Slight alcohol aroma with a slight hint of toffee. Fruity, strong raisin flavor. alcohol, and slight hints of cherry. Very similar to a barleywine as its sweet an alcoholic. Wonderfully complex, one of those beers that changes on your palette and gives you different character as you drink. Light to medium bodied, much lighter than expected almost watery in texture. Alcohol warming followed lingering roasty malt finish.

Notes of coffee and a tinge of ....something else. Does not have a thick feel to it like other porters. Is definitely a more of a dark lager.

A crisp porter with a clean front and a solid hoppy chocolate back. Much more mellow than Storm King. I'll enjoy this pint!

Incredibly surprised by this beer. A great porter hybrid. Nice head, strong but still mellow taste. Will definitely get again.

It was a good porter. I've had better and I've had worse. I would not turn this beer down if someone offered it to me but there are others I'd rather buy when at the store.
