Very flavorly profile - April 1, 2013
Honey at first, then cocoa notes with a peppery finish

A bit funky, not excessively spicy while cocoa even less discernible.

Very interesting and unique. Cocoa and chili stand out the most with a hint of honey. Mouth feels a bit spicy after every sip. Very enjoyable for a unique experience but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it

One of my top DFH beers.

Smell isn't as inviting as the taste- aroma of booze, grains, and apple. The taste grew on me the more I drank it: apples, booze, and the peppery taste of ancho chiles comes through at the resolve. Even slight heat at back of the throat! Another winner from DH.

Smell slightly citrusy but not extremely inviting. Tastes much better than the smell. Very smooth, slightly citrus flavor with a little bit of a spicy aftertaste. profile - February 5, 2013
Too sweet. Not enough chiles.
