Svelte. Smoky subtleness early on. Warmth of palm 'neath swirling tulip evokes figgy sweetness.

Jet black with a deep burnt orange edge after the light brown head dissipates. Holds a head much longer than many RIS's. Sweet, chocolatey aroma, with a hint of coffee and alcohol. Warm, full, and slightly slick mouthfeel. Alcohol is very present, but this is a 2012 and will probably ease up with aging. Bitter dark chocolate, with a but of a burnt taste lingering after the swallow. Overall a good RIS, and am looking forward to letting some age til this winter, an drinking them on a cold night, and enjoying a little less heat on the mouth.

Decent RIS for me. 2012 version so pretty hot. Bought two more to let age and lookin forward to seeing how it mellows out

Fantastic stout! Not as good as Hoppin frog's Boris the crusher but an excellent imperial stout. Yet another excellent Stone offering!

Strong, malty flavor. Hint of coffee and caramel. Rich and thick, I could eat it with a spoon.

Smooth and sweet. High alcohol content is a little too apparent, but nice flavor.

Very dark. Food flavor, not very sweet. Slight anise undertone, but not too much.

One of the great Russian Imperial Stouts. Boozy with licorice and chocolate notes. Another classic from Stone!

Not my favorite kind of beer so it's a slow sipper for me, I love as always it's the most extreme version of the style as always from stone. Love these guys and really enjoyed this beer. Lots of great spice and a nice full flavor.
