Dark brown and cloudy, light head on pour, but quickly disappears, big malty fruit and licorice nose, smooth with big mouthfeel, very drinkable for the alcohol content, 2007 vintage, bottled and cellared.

I have a soft spot for barley wines, but this one unfortunately does not do it for me. I really cannot pin point it. Really sucks because I love Sierra Nevada (hoptimum is glorious). I think I should get a pack and age them. 2.5/5

I dare say... too hoppy? I am a self-proclaimed hophead, but the hops were too much for the style. They did mellow out with warming and getting used to, but the flavor is just dominated to a near fault. Others say its better aged because it tames the bitterness, and I would be willing to try it. The taste underneath is pretty darn good. Seems like an Imperial IPA.

5/23/13on tap at tap room. Was good. Had that hoppy after taste. Almost like an ipa.

Vintage 2011 keg of this was awesome. The malt flavor was more forward but the hops were still present. Such a good beer!

Very tasty! Not a hophead, but I love these hops. Smooth and slight sweetness.
