Newcastle on steroids; can taste the pecan, with a bit if darkness to it

Light hop character mingled with mild pecan flavor and a subtle mouth feel. Not bad, but not as unique of a taste as I would expect from Abita.

A pleasant but light ale. Nutty flavor is very light/subtle. Not particularly a favorite, would like something stronger.

Sweet, buttery, hazelnut aroma. Orangey amber color. Slightly tangy, carbonated initial taste, which melts into a true, complex pecan pie aftertaste that is very light, but there. Goes well with pan-fried chicken.

Not bad, but not for me. The pecan gives it a hazelnut coffee taste.
