ArnettNC - April 15, 2012Pours black walnut with thin mocha head. Soft vanilla & oak to nose. Velvet smooth with lush bourbon oak, milky vanilla, & soft chocolate notes. Beautiful blend between oaking, vanilla, & lactic sugars. Wonderfully delicious
BMMillsy - March 29, 2012Not sure what to think. Would describe this as root beer candy plus vanilla with oaky bourbon on the back end. Tough to get through for me, an I would rather go withLeft Hand Nitro for a milk stout.
hcfcgate - February 19, 2012Strong alcohol taste but blends into a smooth malty vanilla taste. Very dark with little head. Good bourbon flavor part way thru with lingering vanilla flavor
tulkas451 - February 2, 201210% abv - you can taste the alcohol, but it is tempered by the malt goodness of the ale and the vanilla/bourbon flavor from the cask. An altogether superior bourbon barrel stout - best I've ever had.
