Viscous and carbonated. Slightly mouth warming and very hoppy but smooth

I let this age for about a year. Bad decision even though it says it is ok to do so. Doesn't taste like an IPA. No hop aroma but still plenty of carbonation. Tastes like a Belgium strong ale. I need to taste it fresh for a better evaluation.

So fucking good.. 20%abv?!...Smooth, slightly hoppy, but a sweet smokiness to it.. Not for the faint of the heart...obviously a boozy finish but lives up to the hype...4 stars

So over rated.high alcohol level covers malt flavor. Let sit for a year and did not improve.

25SEP14, Sergio's World Beers, Louisville, KY Draft, 6oz snifter Pours hazy golden with big off white head for the small glass. Has a really heavy hop aroma. There's warm citrus and grass, with some earth maybe? Flavor is really sweet up front, and while cold, is also blended with a really interesting bitterness. Has a wholesome hop sweetness. It's quite good. Interestingly sweet, and boozingly bitter. I'm not sure it's my favorite imperial IPA. The booziness never really yields to the sweetness. As it warms it has an actual liquor-ness to it. Warms like a good tequila or bourbon. 3.5 stars. I can appreciate the craft, but it's not what I prefer.
