Not as smooth as expected. Alcohol overtone. (Belmont Station)

I gave it two stars now. It had a good hop floral smell. Taste is sweet and very boozy but gets better after several sips. I expected it to be very hoppy but it was not. I'll be aging three bottles and I bet it will taste a lot better after a few years. Although I was a little disappointed because it didn't live up to the hype but I do recommend people to try it. Cheers!!!

A. Tastes like an old ale, but way more complex. Hops are there in bitterness, but not over powering. No hop aroma, but flavor is still there. Fresh is A+, still sherry like, high alcohol almost hot, no hop aroma.
Had the 2017 in 2022, still had some hops and was very good A+.
Had the 2011 in 2022 and it was still a good old ale, but seemed less complex. Not sure it?s worth aging past 10 years. Probably an A-.
1-1-2024 had a side by side of March 2017 and June 2017. June had hops, like a triple IPA, the March was more like an English Barleywine, no hops hardly.

3 stars for my tastes. No doubt a good beer but rye taste is too strong

Deep Carmel color and extremely thick texture. Notes of oak, nuts and slightly sweet. Tremendous warming sensation similar to a nice whiskey, overall a great beer!

Wow, gorgeous hop aroma.. Floral and sweet. Big flavor and knock down alcohol. Nice.

I am an IPA and DH fan, but this was just too damn much. So overpowering and boozy that it's hard to enjoy.
