I took a sniff after opening bottle and could smell the hops. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the dark color. Great hop flavor to start, then chocolate and licorice. Great complex beer.

Not super hoppy. Good malty taste as long as you are prepared for the IPA portion to be subtle.
