Interesting for a darker ale. Can't figure if it's spice cake, chocolate, or a mix. Not a fan of dark beers but this is a winner.

Lovely altbier from its traditional home. Sweet with distinct caramel and dried figs. Delightful without being overly boozy. Had at PP 5/16/14.

Oof this is good !Pours dark amber. Smells like a fruit cake with extra raisins . Oh plums, raisins and a little chocolate at the end.

Dark, thick. A bit like 3 philosophers

Dark fruits, raisins and plums. Lightly roasty. Nice hard alcohol aroma. Interesting and delicious!

Deep rich intense malt almost barley wine like. Moderate Noble hop aroma-more than I had expected. Loved it. Dark chestnut brown, clear but not brilliant with a low tan head that settles to an ever lasting ring. Body is medium heavy with moderate carbonation that suits this style perfectly. Truly a beer to have if it can be found on a regular basis. No wonder they call it the "Secrete Beer". Prosit!
