An exceptional robust Belgium ale, hence dubbel brew. Only gets stronger from here i.e. tripel, and quad beers. Anyways this 7.5% ABV Trappist beer that?s right master brewed by the abbey monks sports abundance foam head, and a rich sweet flavor 1/16/22

Malty. Smooth. Sweet. Belgian spicy. Great beer.

From a bottle. Not as fruity as the average offering of a Tappistes. Still good but not as good as others.

To fruity for me

Favorite beer of mine. Smooth and excellent malty brown taste. Goes down like a great champagne.

Pretty mild for its style. Not super sweet and quickly resolves to a dry finish without a lot of bitterness.

12/30/15 - HB Tasting. 12 oz bottle poured into a Bootleggers tulip glass. Pours a copper color, small head with no retention. Light carbonation, medium mouthfeel. Aroma is woodsy, earthy, spicey. Taste is slightly sweet, with caramel undertones. Not as good as Chimay or Allagash, but still not bad.
