Solid strong belgian

Reddish brown / mahogany color, well carbonated, very complex, full of lighter fruit, vanilla, other flavors I am not good enough at this to id. Fairly sweet, bit creamy, slight caramel/chocolate. Ton of flavor. Pour carefully out if bottle to avoid yeast.

A little too much caramel in comparison to the 8.

While I am not a huge fan of this style, I can see why it is rated in the Top 10 beers in the world. Presents a nice thick and creamy head with lots of spice. It's not overly heavy and had lasting impressions of molasses and banana. Definitely worth a try.

Classic Trappist. Softer tasting

Not a smooth beer. Tastes bitter and would not try again
