Nice copper hold color, head good but fades fast. Not too hoppy; a little piney and sweet; med body; good for a dipa

18JUL13, Mussel & Burger Bar, Louisville, KY
22oz poured into small Ball jar
Pours a clear dark color with a full finger of very light tan head. Has a malty and earthy nose, with mellow hoppiness. The flavor is initially sweet, with a touch of bitterness dancing underneath, to finish mildly wet and mildly bitter. It's extremely well balanced, with the malt adding some fullness to the light mouthfeel. It seems low carbonation, which summarizes nicely as a smooth, mellow-yet-hop-forward beer. Very well done, and easily enjoyable.

Pours with a nice head that doesn't last long. Gorgeous copper color. Just a hint of pine and malty sweetness on the nose, really could benefit from some dry hops. Medium body, not as thick as might be expected of a dipa. Balanced hops and malt, but neither really stands out. Not very bitter. Finish is slightly sweet with some piney hop kick.

Enjoyable cascade hops, citrus hints and a clean finish that had a Boston lager type of taste
