TrevorT - July 22, 2014Darn good doppelbock. The color is rustic oak finish with the soft off-white head. The aroma is very sweet with soft buttery roasted grains. The taste is spectacularly smooth with lightly roasted grain reminiscent of a pumpernickel bread and blackberry brandy. 3.5 of 5 stars.
aaf145 - June 21, 2014Unreal..one of the best German beers I've had in a long time.. Picked this beer last second in a build your own 6 pack at Wegmans in Wilkes barre, PA..by far the smoothest and creamiest doppelbock I've had to date...I like the light malty flavor too, unlike most doppels where it's slightly overwhelming..Love the abv..I'm blown away, all I can say is session doppelbock .. 5 stars
