This is defiantly hoppy. Nice balance in the flavor with the high alcohol content. Dry finish

B+. A strong citrusy hop aroma and flavor with plenty of malt. Lingering bitterness, but not in a bad way. If it had more complexity I would give it an A. Found my 2011 notes and I noted it had a caramel flavor, lingering bitterness, fragrant, good balance and sweeter than Ninkasi?s Tircerahops it was an A. New in 2018 9.4% and more floral hops. B. 2019 is an A, has some dank hops and more complex, 9.6%. 2020 is an A, has the dank, herbaceous hops and big malt. Medium to light heavy mouthfeel. Bottled April 2, 2020 at 10.6%. Had a 2014 in August of 2020 and it still made a good old ale at 10.4%.

Inconsistent. Got it last yr and it was perfectly balanced. ABV was totally hidden. Now it's gotten too boozy. A real hoppy brew though, Not 100% balanced. Hop Hunter is better. Sierra Nevada, u guys r doin' a stellar job over there. 4-1/2 Stars on this one. What's weird though 'bout this one is very little nose, maybe it's just me. (Popped a top)

Good IIPA. However one if the few beers I prefer from the bottle rather than in tap. I think the bottle conditioning smooths the flavor.

A solid Imperial IPA. Being one of my favorite styles, I usually prefer the sweet and sour grapefruit opening compared to the very piney one here, but it is nonetheless a very crisp and flavorfully hoppy specialty from Sierra Nevada.
