jcollins - August 18, 2012first time trying. smell is great hoppy with a hint of sweet Malts. not as much grapefruit grass or pine as I like but we'll see after the taste. taste, pretty damn hoppy, well balanced with a hint sweetness but mainly hops. mouthfeel is heavy, maybe a little too carbonated a good beer, but it's missing the things I love about ipas; dry oily bitterness, grassy piney and grapefruitiness. in my opinion this is kind of boring ipa that doesn't live up to the hype. decent but not spectacular. especially at $10 a bomber. the hops are there but they taste mild and subdued, not what i want in an ipa. I'll stick to torpedo hoptimum centennial and perry from now on. oh well.
buellxb9s - August 14, 2012Bad ass! Dank weed, West Coast hops. Definitely in my Top 10 if not likely Top 5. Fairly easy to get on the Right Coast as well.
