An intense double IPA, the bitterness is out of control here. Uber robust zesty flavor and hops dancing in the palate with its high 8.4% ABV, not for everyone. Cheers from SoCal USA 6/2/17

Strong, bitter, hoppy IPA. Similar to rail splitter, but even more bitter. Delicious if you're in the mood for something very hoppy.

Great beer! Plenty of hop and citrus notes but not overbearing. A good step up from the regular Rebel IPA.

Touch more hops than the rebel

Lotta bite. Standard west coast CCC character, but for some reason I love this beer. Very drinkable. A real go to double ($9.99) as craft beer egos and prices begin to get bigger than they think they are.

Way too heavy and bitter. Hard to drink a lot but probably ok if you are only having one.

To be honest, I drink this a fair amount. It's available at the local Food Lion, is pretty decent, and relatively cheap for a strong IPA.

Super yummy for a mainstream brew.

Not my favorite IPA, I can tell it is very mass produced. Doesn't have the fresh bite that other double IPAs have, not much after taste at all. Maybe my bottle was a little past it's ideal shelf life.

Sam Adams pulls off a wonderful double IPA as good as any microbrewery craft product! If you like a foamy head, this has got to be the creamiest and most flavorful head I have had on a beer in a long, long time! Tons of flavor meet your first sip and continues through the to the end. Citrus is present-almost grapefruit; but pine resins prevail. The finish is hoppy, but doesn't leave the bitterness lingering. It is was so good I immediately bought the 6-pack!
