Starts malty ends hoppy. Nice flavor and can see how you pair with aggressive flavored like wasabi, Cajun, etc. like it! Bought for the name, will buy again for the taste.

Not my idea of an IPA at all! I read the description about Belgian IPA. I asked the clerk at the store. He said "try it", so I did. I will not go back for more. Looked like a complex beer on the pour. Deep and rich colors. The nosing produced an earthy and spicy smell. No hops on the nosing. Then came the tasting. No good. Spicy, spicy, spicy. I want hops and bitterness, not spice. It was like ordering a coffee with a flavor shot!! Not going to buy it again.

8.3 ABV Bitter at first then settles in half way thru. Think I like bottled better.

Not a big fan of this beer. It's heavy, almost cloying, overly alcoholic and malty without balance. Most of all, it really doesn't fit the style of a Belgian IPA, unless people want to begin categorizing "American-styled Belgian IPAs."

Medium hoppy. Not bad.

As always an excellent piney IPA from a great brewery. Fresh at the brewery.

I think the Belgian addition makes this a damn good beer. So much more flavor and substance than a standard APA.
