I like this beer a lot but I have to say its definitely over rated. I think double jack is still the beer that represents California. I would put Pliny in my top five but not top three.

Best ipa ever

Fruitier than you would think for a DIPA. Fantastic al the way through, but slightly thin on the palate

Yummy. Balanced and not too hoppy.

One of the best!

Huge body complements a crystal clear hops brightness. Cutting through is a sharp, almost zesty, lemony crispness. An underlying sweetness carries through to a finish redolent of citrus in its complexity and an almost green flavor tone.

Clean, bright and balanced. A foundation of malt that supports the overt hop characteristics without being too raisin or biscuit like. You can not taste the alcohol what so ever. However, after two, there is sufficient evidence it exists. A perfect mouth feel that envelops your taste buds like velvet but dances on your tongue like a crisp spring rain. Simply put: the perfect beer.

Wasn't sure if it could live up to the hype, but it did! Creamy white head and the aroma is out of this world. Like a finely crafted bouquet bitter and sweet with scents of pine, grapefruit, and something sweet that I can't quite put my finger on. Magnificent!!!!
