Nice dark ale. Not bitter. There is a little taste of chocolate.

As with all of New Castle's beers, this one also sucks. Limp body and no character. It could be a good transitional beer for those looking to leave behind the watered-down, sub-standard, mass-produced shit and move to a darker brew.

Pours a very dark brown with a hint of red. Head dissipated quickly. Nose has chocolate and dark roasted coffee. Same with the taste with maybe a hint of licorice. A good beer

Nice chocolate & caramel flavor with sweet aroma & taste. Slight hint of coffee. Somewhat thin in mouthfeel. Good, long-lasting head. Nothing bitter in this dark ale at all. Low alcohol makes this one you could drink all night.

Smooth, chocolate hint, not as much bite as a porter

Very nice rich flavor. Notes of chocolate with a little finish of smokiness. Outstanding brew!

Good black ale with dark malt aroma and taste.

Smooth and very drinkable. I like it.

Bland, bland, bland. Not much in terms of flavor. Was hoping for a rich complex beer and this was not.
