It is ok but has a bit of hop aftertaste. Smokey may e with a bit of chocolate flavor.

Delicious brown ale with nice rye notes and just deliciously winter!

Great color and smell right out of the bottle! I had higher hopes for this beer. A little too smokey with not enough flavor for me. Seems that something is missing. It's okay to sip on on a cold day but I wouldn't have more than one.

Little syrupy, but very good.

Like many new holland beers, it isn't over the top on flavor. Their products are typically muted compared to others. That said, this is a solid winter ale. Not fantastic, just a pretty good representation of the style.

Decent taste dark color. Little more carbonated than I usually like but not a bad ale.
Very mild. Caramel notes.

Dark brown with a slight reddish tint. Nice off white head. Rich malty chocolate aromas abound. Flavors full the mouth. Rich chocolate abounds throughout. Malt is dominant. Medium/full bodied. Clean smooth aftertaste. A very drinkable beer.

Earthy. Mild taste of a traditional brown ale
