Sweet but heavy profile - December 30, 2016
Starts off sweet like Belgium finished tart from cherries. Very unique. Once a year is enough for me

Tasty. If you are expecting a strong cherry flavor you will be disappointed though. Strong and spicy but only mildly bitter although it's more bitter than most Belgian dark strong ales. Tasted this side by side with a fresh bottle and a bottle that was cellared for 3 years. It mellows out a lot with age but not a huge difference.

Packs a punch (11% alcohol). Sweet/ tart and rich - both Peter and I tasted banana and cinnamon though it's main ingredients are cherry and honey. Fun for the holiday season!
